Overview
This 1-day workshop aims to improve awareness of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) among health professionals. The workshop examines the clinical features, diagnosis and management of COPD, including pharmacological management and nebuliser usage. It also includes a practical introduction to spirometry.
Workshop Structure
The ARIMGSAS COPD workshop is a one day workshop, approximately 7 hours. The first part of the workshop will be theoretical or lectures on COPD and its management. Also, the speaker will address specialty topics such as pharmacology, oxygen therapy and pulmonary rehabilitation. The second part will be practical introductory and application on how to use devices like the peak flow meter, spirometry, nebulizer, inhaler and spacers.
Workshop Importance
At the completion of this workshop students would have gained knowledge about COPD and its management.
Also, the participant will receive a certificate for attending the workshop.
Learning Outcomes
On completion of the workshop, participants will be able to apply evidence-based models to the diagnosis and management of COPD.
